Lifeline Connections will reimburse any new hire for the total cost of required WA State credentials if paid within six month prior to hire date.  In the event the payment for WA State credentials is made after the employee is hired, Lifeline Connections will pay up to $125.00 towards WA State credentials.

Executive Director - Posting # 11-049

Major Duties:  Executive Director/CEO to help facilitate our growth and establish a smooth transition of leadership. In fulfilling these duties, the incumbent performs the following duties independently:

  • Accountable for developing and maintaining a cost effective, client focused, service delivery system with a strong focus on continuous quality improvement.
  • Overall responsibility to ensure that program objectives are achieved.
  • Reports to the Board of Directors and has primary supervision of program personnel and setting the overall tone for the organization.
  • Implements the policy directives emanating from the Board of Directors.
  • Overall leadership role in guiding all administrative, fiscal, treatment, counseling, and community oriented program activities as delineated by the standards adopted by the State of Washington, CARF, and ASAM criteria.
  • Responsible for continued development of the organization including but not limited to donor relations, marketing, new partners, negotiating and administering contracts, assuring sound fiscal integrity and management, and grant writing.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with committees of the Board of Directors. Incorporate a board governance strategic plan to recruit and train Board members and implement strategic planning.
  • Work with agency leadership to determine personnel needs and ensure there is an effective staff performance measurement, satisfaction, and advancement.
  • Maintain and foster a positive, close working relationship with Federal, State, County, and local governmental and regulatory authorities to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.

Knowledge Required by the Position:

  • A style that is relationship-driven, collaborative, compassionate, respectful, and highly committed.
  • Experience supporting a positive performance culture along with diversity and inclusion at all levels. 
  • A team builder who has experience in scaling up organizations; ability to connect with staff both on an individual level and in large groups; and learn strengths and weaknesses of team so as to put people in a position to succeed.
  • Five to ten years or more of professional experience in managing a health services nonprofit organization. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.  Master’s Degree preferred. Dual degree (management plus clinical) desired.
  • A track record of entrepreneurially charting new or higher-impact courses with tangible examples of success in: change management, executing on strategic planning, guiding investments in people and systems; supporting clinical needs, engaging donors and partners; and delivering business results.
  • Ability to maintain strong partnership with the Board of Directors including but not limited to transparency while being proactive with the Board of Directors.
  • Ability to think strategically; anticipate future consequences and trends, and incorporate them into the organizational plan.

  • Experience with working with Government Agencies, following Legislative sessions and their respective budgets, and contracts
  • Solid computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

Billing Specialist- Posting # 12-001

Major Duties:  This position works under the supervision of the Billing Supervisor as a liaison for the third party billing process.  The Billing Specialist is responsible for submitting claims and following up with insurance companies as well as posting and managing account payments. The Billing Specialist must prioritize tasks to meet multiple deadlines and productivity requirements.  The following duties will be preformed independently:

  • Inputs and updates information in Medisoft.
  • Prepares and submits clean claims to various insurance companies either electronically or by paper. 
  • Prepares, reviews, and sends patient statements. 
  • Reviews accounts for assignment and makes recommendations to the billing supervisor as well as prepares information for the collection agency.
  • Performs various collection actions to include; contacting patients by phone, working with third party payers, and correcting and resubmitting claims.
  • Works with the patient account specialist as part of the billing team. 
  • Responsible for month end reconciliation process. 
  • Supports and implements agency policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • College coursework preferred.
  • Possess two years hands on experience in a high volume clinical billing office. Chemical dependency and/or mental health related field a plus.
  • Requires a detailed understanding of insurance billing, Medicaid funding, and billing software.
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, possess good analytical skills, and be able to work well under pressure.
  • Must have good attendance.
  • Must work well with others (co-workers/clients).
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbally.

Salary: $15-$17 Hourly
