Frequently Asked Questions

What Can I expect when I come to treatment at Lifeline?
An initial assessment by a chemical dependency professional and our medical staff will determine if you have a need for detoxification.  If detoxification is needed, you will spend an average of 3-5 days in detox.  While there, you will be visited by your therapist and will receive attention as needed by our nursing and other medical staff.  Detox is the first step in stabilization, after which you will begin the residential stage of treatment.

If I have a mental health issues will they be addressed?
Your treatment team will include a psychiatrist and a mental health professional.  They will discuss with you the limits of our treatment for mental health issues.  Consultation with your primary care physician will occur to coordinate your medical needs.  We expect that many of our clients will have depression and anxiety and we will assess and treat as needed.

Can my family be a part of my treatment program?
Yes, if you desire.  There is a family education component and visitation weekly.

May I have my cell phone and computer with me in treatment?
You may bring your cell phone with you, computer access will be provided.  You will have time allotted each day to speak with your family and others that are supportive to your treatment.  The amount of time you may use your cell phone will be limited and you may not carry your phone or any other electronic devices on your person at any time.

Is smoking allowed?
At the present time, smoking is allowed during “breaks” that take place four times per day and are limited to smoking areas that are outside the building.  You may not carry your tobacco products or any paraphernalia on your person at any time.  If you desire to quit smoking while here, we will provide any over the counter smoking cessation aid to help you achieve your goal.
